Memory of Tom Distel: Georges saloon was in the building beside the YMCA across from the police station on East Market St. in Tiffin, this building later was used for the Advertiser Tribune. Now all is torn down.
The Kuhn children all helped run the bar and the room upstairs rented to boarders. Inside the Saloon the bar was always full of snack food, so that passers by would stop in for a bite to eat and buy a beer. People would walk around back and knock on the door with an empty can and have it filled with fresh beer to take home for a nickel. Bertha told these
stories to Tom, her son.
Notes from Lois Feasel: Regina took in boarders at their home on Market St., while some of the children were still young.
