    • OBITUARY:

      Mary Ethel Phipps Grabow, 92, of West Liberty, died Tuesday, May 26, 1998, at Morgan County
      Appalachian Regional Hospital in West Liberty. Born July 10, 1905, at Lee City, Kentucky, Mary was a daughter of the. late Ruben and Nannie Belle Dykes May.

      Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Loretta Hewett, Wilma Phipps, and Pauline Gibson; four-sisters, Nola May Bailey, Margaret Dolan May Bailey, Lana Frances May Conley, and Carrie Alta May; three brothers, Hager Herman May, Emest B. May, and Elza W. May. Survivors include one son, Ollie E. Phipps of Findlay, Ohio; one sister, Ruby Lillian Phipps of Route 1, Hazel Green; and a brother, Abner May of Ohio.

      Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, at Potter Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ivan Hinton and Rev.

      David Hinton officiating. Burial followed in the Salem Cemetery at Buskirk with Potter Funeral Home of West Liberty in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Al Gibson, Clark Phipps, Elza Phipps, James A. Phipps, Phillip Phipps, and Leroy Phipps.
