      Carey--Services for Anthony F. Lucius, 81, retired farmer of Carey will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Consolation Church with Rev. LeRoy Paul officiating.

      Mr. Lucius died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky following a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been in the hospital since January 14.

      Among survivors are nine daughters. Two sons preceded him in death.

      A native of Seneca County, Mr. Lucius was born July 25, 1888 to Henry and Josephine Ilienen Lucius. He was a member of the church, Eagles Lodge, Wyandot Sportsman Club and social member of VFW.

      Surviving are his widow, Lavina Kirian Lucius, the daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Mercedes) Jones of RR 3, Tiffin, Mrs. Emery (Helen) Tiell of RR 2, Upper Sandusky, Mrs. Maurice (Erma) Mays, Mrs. Kenneth (Anna) Carr and Mrs. James (Emma) Riele of RR 4, Upper Sandusky, Mrs. Bernadine Niederkohr and Mrs. George (Martha) Nierderkohr, of Carey, Mrs. Carl (Donna) Toland of RR 1, Carey, and Mrs. Frank (Rosetta) Arnold of RR 5, Upper Sandusky, 39 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

      Four brothers, Nicholas, Frank, William and Aloysius of Tiffin and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Shultz of Tiffin and Mrs. Anna Pieffer of New Riegel survive. A brother preceded him in death.

      Burial will be in St. Mary cemetery.

      Friends may call at Bristoll Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.
