      Couple Wedded at St. Boniface Church

      A pretty wedding took place at 8:30 o'clock tihs morning at St. Boniface church at New Riegel when Miss Pauline Wank only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Wank, and Louis Lucius, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lucius, were united in marriage by the Rev. Vitus Shuette.

      Miss Anges Gillig, cousin of the groom, and Mr. Harold Wank, brother of hte bride, were their attendants. The bride, was attired in a gown of coral shade crepe with accessores to match. She carried a bouguet of coral pink roses and baby breath.

      The bridesmaid was attired in a brown crepe with assessories to match. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and baby breath.

      A wedding dinner was served in the home of the bride's parents to about 40 friends and relatives.

      Mr. and Mrs. Lucius will reside on a farm in Seneca townsihp.

    • OBITUARY:

      Eugene W. Lucius, age 65, of 3052 S. CR 591 Tiffin, Ohio, died at 8:45 A.M. December 8, 2002 in Mercy Hospital Emergency Room.

      He was born on September 1, 1937 to Louis and Pauline (Wank) Lucius. He married Alice Brose on October 12, 1957 in St. Peter Catholic Church, Alvada, Ohio. She survives.

      Also surviving are: three sons, Dan (Kim) Lucius, Tom (Shirley) Lucius, both of Tiffin, and Mark (Phyllis) Lucius of New Riegel; a daughter, Donna (John) Poignon of Tiffin; nine grandchildren, Andrew Poignon, Drew Lucius, Jeremy Lucius, Adam Poignon, Theresa Lucius, Brandon Lucius, Jared Poignon, Marisa Lucius and Megan Lucius; three brothers, Marion Lucius and Herman Lucius, both of Tiffin, and Virgil Lucius of Camarillo, Calif.; three sisters, Alice (Emil Jr.) Siegle of New Riegel, Rose Mary (Douglas) Brown of Willard and Helen Ring of Twinsburg.

      He is preceded by 3 brothers, Joseph, Louis Paul, and Leo J. Lucius.

      Mr. Lucius attended New Riegel High School. He retired in 1999 after 44 years as a molder at Webster Manufacturing Company. He also co-owned E & R Construction Company. He was a very active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, a member of New Riegel Moose Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, camping, walking, and was a handyman/carpenter.

      Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, with the Rev. Leonard Kistler officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
      Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, (419) 447-3113. There will be a Parish Wake Service at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rosary will be recited in church at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.

      Contributions may be made to Pheasants Forever or to St. Boniface Cemetery Chapel Fund. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral Mass in the parish cemetery.
